I really like this show. It’s on Teen Nick I believe… I think it’s a much more realistic view of high school and life of people in that age range than any other shows I know of about high-school age kids. It gets into the real subjects that everyone else is afraid to really dive into, like drugs, drinking, sex, relationships, violence, and family for starters.
These things are hitting kids these days at an earlier age than before… it’s all getting to them earlier & earlier. How many people over 29 know what ‘sexting‘ is? Exactly. Google that if you’re confused.

When I was in high school, any and all music that shouldn’t be played at a church was not acceptable and most shows and movies were awkward to watch at home because of the way my parents acted about it all, as if it was all bad and if we avoided seeing it, it didnt exist. It was like they were trying to keep me from seeing the way the world really was, and that’s just what people in their teens need – they need to understand what’s ahead so they can develop how they will handle it all and how they will face different things. So I’ve grown to understand that sneaking around to listen to music and watch music videos and tv shows and movies is an unhealthy way to grow up. My advice to parents who are trying so hard to protect their kids from all the bad out there… why not show them all the good that you can, and when the bad comes up in normal activities, help them decide, are they going to embrace it, walk next to it, or run away from it altogether? Present them with that… Help them figure out how to work through things however they need to, weather that means working out, or doing something crafty, or focusing on music or cleaning really hard or something… We all have vices… weather it be drinking or smoking, or painting in place of violence or cleaning really thoroughly house when you’re just really upset. You have to make that choice.
